Bronzeville, Chicago · Built for work that has to hold

Complicated opportunity.Accountable execution.

McGhee Consulting Group helps operators, institutions and entrepreneurs turn ideas, permissions and difficult problems into offers, systems, relationships and evidence that hold up after the presentation ends.

Rules people can inspect. Decisions people can own. Work that survives the presentation.

What we do

We build the structure that lets serious work move.

The assignment may begin with AI, a market, a property, a broadcast or a partnership. MCG finds the operating question underneath it and builds the smallest useful system that can answer it.

Governed AI and operating systems

Human-owned decisions, inspectable rules and useful tools inside real workflows.

Business development and market entry

A clear offer, verified prospects, disciplined outreach and revenue measured by what is actually collected.

Opportunity and partnership architecture

Roles, economics, evidence, authority and stopping rules before the title or announcement.

Real-estate and institutional diligence

Truth before leverage. Stewardship before story. No claim of control before control exists.

Cultural, media and diaspora enterprise

Chicago-rooted work connecting memory, broadcast, community and practical enterprise across borders.

Straight answers

What MCG is built to answer.

What does MCG do?

We turn complicated opportunities into governed systems, clear offers, accountable relationships and evidence that holds up after the presentation ends.

Who is MCG for?

Operators, institutions and entrepreneurs facing a consequential decision, a difficult market, a partnership question or a system that must work in the real world.

Where does MCG work?

MCG is rooted in Bronzeville, Chicago and works across the United States and internationally.

How do we begin?

Start with the decision, the deadline and what is currently stuck. The first conversation is about finding the smallest complete test that can tell the truth.

The MCG method

Build the smallest complete test that can tell the truth.

Not another strategy deck. A bounded test with an owner, an evidence trail and a decision at the end.

  1. 01

    Listen

Start with the person, the purpose, the constraints and the actual cost of failure.

  2. 02

    Frame

Name the decision, authority, risk and evidence required.

  3. 03

    Build

Create the smallest complete system that can produce a real signal.

  4. 04

    Test

Run it against reality. Measure outcomes, not activity.

  5. 05

    Receipt

Preserve what happened, what remains unresolved and who owns the next move.

Proof in the work

The method has to survive contact with real life.

Living proof

All That Jazz Global / Transition Radio

ATJG is MCG’s own working proof: creative direction, rights discipline, metadata, broadcast operations, archive and audience practice joined into one system. It is being built carefully before public transmission—not marketed as finished before the carrier, licensing and reporting structure are ready.

Proof in motion

Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove is early diligence around a possible Bronzeville studio and cultural anchor where place, portraiture, broadcast and archive could work together. It remains exploratory. MCG does not claim site control or a finished plan.

One practice, two doors

The work and the memory belong together.

Earl McGhee

Five decades of translating between systems and people.

I have spent more than five decades translating between complicated systems and the people who must use them—from Chicago community media and commercial art to vocational education, color science, regulated markets, jazz radio and operating-system design.

The fields changed. The discipline did not: listen closely, understand the system, translate it clearly and build work that survives contact with reality.

McGhee Consulting Group is where I bring that discipline now.
